Immigration Tight-Lipped On 7YO’s Extradition

The Immigration Department is refusing to provide details of exactly how and why it removed a seven-year-old Iranian girl from her father in Baxter Detention Centre and sent her back to Tehran to rejoin her mother.
Two weeks ago the Commonwealth Ombudsman found that immigration staff had deceived the father.
