Immigration ‘Too Slow’ On Visas

The Immigration Department takes too long to process visas and tell travellers if their applications fail, the public service watchdog says.
The Commonwealth Ombudsman issued a report yesterday on invalid visas, saying departmental officers were inconsistent in the way they handled applications.
